Why do you not include flights in your trip price?

One of the main goals of our adventures is to make them available to everyone, no matter where you live. Depending on your flight origin, available connections as well as the time of booking, your flight prices may vary. For that reason, we are not able to include in advance the flight costs in the booking price.

The good news is that nowadays flying within the EU is generally very affordable and easy to book thanks to a huge number of flight connections offered by many airlines including the low-cost companies. The earlier you book your trip and flights, the better deal you should get.

If you would like us to help you with booking your flights, just get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

Is food included in the booking price?

Generally speaking, most of our trips are on a self-catering basis to give you as much flexibility in choosing what you prefer to eat as possible. Some people would like to dine out most of the time while others may prefer to prepare something by themselves and only occassionally eat out.

Moreover, as we all have different food preferences, in order to avoid issues with the kind of food that is offered during the trip, in most cases we do not include food in the booking price. However, some trips may offer breakfast or other meal options (e.g. lunch packs during travelling around) so make sure that you always check your specific booking details.

What are your booking terms & conditions?

Booking and payments terms

Once we have received your booking request, we will double-check the trip availability and send you an e-mail with your booking and payment details. If you wish to proceed with your booking, simply make a secure online payment using the payment link sent in our e-mail . Once the payment has been processed, we will then send you a final booking confirmation.

In order to secure your booking, either a full payment or a 50% deposit will be required. The balance payment will be due not later than 49 days before the start of your trip.

In most cases, if you gather a group of at least 6 team members (or more) on one booking, you will be eligible for a group discount. In some cases, an additional discount can be applied, if you pay in full the total booking price at the time of making your reservation (as opposed to just securing your booking with a deposit, if this applies).

For more details, please refer to your specific booking details.

Please note that most of our adventures require a minimum number of team members for each trip to take place. We reserve the right to cancel it if this condition is not met.

For more details, please refer to our Terms of Service, General Terms of Participation, Travel Services Agreement and other important documents available in the Legal section of our website.

How should I plan my arrival and departure?

ARRIVAL INFO

Yachts are usually available for embarkation on Saturdays at 17:00 but please note that you need some time to check-in at the base port which means you should arrive at the port by 15:00 on Saturday afternoon the latest. Make sure you plan ahead and book suitable flights in order to be able to get to your base port on time. We will pick you up from the relevant airport (please check your specifc booking details) or you can make your own way to your base marina. After checking-in you can go and buy some food at the nearest supermarket.

BASE PORTS

Base port for the Argo-Saronic Islands is Alimos Marina Kalamaki, located approximately 35 km away from Athens International Airport (ATH)

Base port for the South Ionian Islands is Lefkas New Marina, which is on Lefkas (Lefkada) Island, located approximately 22 km away from Preveza-Aktion National Airport (PVK) and a bit over 350 km from Athens. Lefkada is an island connected to the mainland by a long causeway and floating bridge.

Base port for the North Ionian Islands is Gouvia Marina, Corfu. It is located approximately 10 km away from Corfu International Airport (CFU)

DEPARTURE INFO

We will return to the relevant base port on Friday evening around 18:00 and spend the last night in the marina. Check-out is at 9:00 on Saturday mornings so if your flight departs in the afternoon or evening, you can still go sightseeing to the nearest town/city close to your base port (Athens, Corfu, Lefkas).

What yachts and cabins can I book?

There's an option to book yacht cabins (for 2 sailors each) or the whole yacht exclusively to your group, if you reserve 3 or 4 cabins on 1 booking (6-8 guests).

You can choose between 3 categories of yachts:

  • MONOHULL STANDARD – these well-maintained and comfortable yachts offer great value for money. They are are slightly older then monohull plus yachts but have all standard yacht equipment and are perfect if you are looking for an affordable way to sail.

  • MONOHULL PLUS – newer than standard category yachts offering better comfort and usually slightly more space than the previous ones. They represent the perfect balance between the price and quality allowing you to enjoy unforgettable yachting experience

  • CATAMARAN – the most expensive category but it is for a reason. Most comfortable, more spacious yachts offering great quality and a very smooth sailing experience. They sell out fast so book early to secure your spot

Is there any required crew size?

Most yachts have 3 or 4 cabins and each cabin sleeps 2 guests (usually on a double bed, sometimes on 2 single beds) which means that our perfect crew size should be of 6 to 8 sailors (+ our professional skipper).

If you come with such group of friends, you'll get a group discount of up to 3% and will be able to use the whole yacht exclusively to yourself. But of course if there are only 2 of you, there's an option to book only 1 cabin and we'll try to match you all on one yacht with other Dream Team members.

If your group of friends is larger than 8 crew members (sleeping in 4 cabins), we can easily split it between 2 yachts (6+6, 8+6, 8+8 etc.) or simply match some of your friends with other Dream Team members so they can all take part in our sailing adventure by sharing a yacht with like-minded travelers.

How does a typical day of your yachting adventure look like?

Below general description is just an example of how a day on your sailing holiday may look like. In the end it’s entirely up to you how you want to spend your time as we would like to give you as much flexibility as possible.

8 am – 10 am – breakfast on board of your yacht

10 am – 12 pm – sailing to a new port/island

12 pm – 6 pm – lunch time, exploring new destination, enjoying swimming in stunning bays and sunbathing

6 pm – 8 pm – wining & dining in the port/town or on the yacht

8 pm – 2 am – night out in the port/town or having fun on the yacht with other crew members

Our goal is to give you a chance to enjoy both sailing and exploring new destinations according to your personal preference. We would like you to see as much as you can or wish on your holiday (if you are an adventurer/explorer type of person) but at the same time we want you to feel relaxed and not rushed to see sights if you just prefer chilling on the beach/yacht (in case you’re a beach lover) – so it’s up to you. As they say - whatever floats your boat ;)

What should I pack for my sailing adventure?

The main thing to remember here is to pack light! Travelling hand luggage only is the best solution as there is not much space for your clothes in the cabins on your yacht. Besides, it’s always warm and sunny at our sailing destinations so you will not need that much stuff with you anyway.

Light clothing, flip flops, shades and a hat are the main things to bring as it’s gonna be hot in here! You will be in the water lots of times so we do not need to remind you about swimming suit or swim shorts but what is also obvious and often forgotten is a good sun block cream/spray. This is really important if you don’t want to come back home completely sunburnt.

At the end of the day, it’s entirely up to you how you want to dress – the most important thing is to feel comfy, relaxed and have a great time!

France

How should I plan my arrival and departure?

ARRIVAL INFO

On a typical arrival Day 1, we will adjust group airport transfer to the last flight arrival. This gives you the flexibility in booking your flight, however, we advise you to arrive at Geneva Airport (GVA) before noon to allow enough time for traveling and check-in. This is due to traffic and weather conditions in winter that may affect your journey.

Check-in at your self-catering accommodation available from 17:00 in the afternoon. In case of arrival before 17:00 (earliest check-in time), you will be able to drop your bags at the apartment and wander around the resort (or sort out your ski pass and/or ski equipment, if available).

If you are planning to arrive at Lyon, Grenoble or Chambery airports, please inform us by e-mail not later than 30 days before your arrival.

DEPARTURE INFO

Departure from the resort to Geneva airport is planned according to your group’s flight departure time (or the earliest flight departure within your group) but please bear in mind that it will be necessary to check-out from your accommodation until 10:00 in the morning (due to the apartment’s check-out policy).

Based on experience, it’s recommended to leave the ski resort earlier than the average driving time shows as the hazardous winter conditions in the Alps together with heavy traffic on the roads may cause long delays. Therefore, it’s always better to wait for a while at the airport than getting stressed about missing your flight.

If you are planning to depart from Lyon, Grenoble or Chambery airports, please inform us by e-mail not later than 30 days before your arrival.

Why is the ski pass not included?

Choosing the right ski pass for you will depend on many factors such as your ski level, budget, type of ski holiday you like (more or less intense skiing), etc. Some skiers would be happy to ski within a smaller area such as Les Menuires and Saint Martin only, others may prefer to stay in the Belleville Valley which represents almost 2/3 of the whole ski area but there may as well be lots of Dream Team members that would also like to ski to Courchevel and Meribel and explore the whole 3 Valleys vast ski area.

As we would like to give you as much flexibility as possible when choosing your preferred ski area, you can either organize your skipass by yourself or simply ask us to help you get it sorted. If you go for the second option, we can usually offer you a discount of up to 10% on the ski pass and make sure it's ready to be used the following day after your arrival so don't hesitate to ask about it in advance.

Will you also sort out my ski rental?

As some skiers may prefer to bring their own skis and others will have different expectations and requirements regarding the type, quality and price of their ski rental, we do not include this cost in the final booking price.

However, we might be able to offer you some discounts on your ski hire so if you would like us to organize your ski rental, just get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

How does a typical day of your French Alps ski trip look like?

Each day will be full of (yes, you've guessed it... :) skiing and exploring the vast ski area of the Three Valleys (depending on the type of ski pass that you have chosen).

But don't worry, we are not aiming at very intensive skiing (unless you wish to do so) - we will also be stopping at bars & restaurants located on the slopes so you will have a chance to relax and have some fun. At the end of the day, skiing in the French Alps wouldn't be complete if we didn't pop in to some of the best apres-ski bars & clubs in the Alps to let you feel that amazing vibe of the alpine entertainment.

What should I pack for my alpine ski adventure?

The main thing to remember about while packing for a ski trip is obviously your ski gear: gogles, helmet, ski jacket and trousers, thermal clothing, ski socks, gloves, boots and skis/boards. But you can also consider taking a swimming suit and a towel if there’s an option to use the indoor swimming pool, sauna and hammam at your accommodation or the resort sport center.

Renting your ski equipment on the spot could also save you some luggage space and hassle with carrying your ski bag & boots.

Can you provide more details on hiking during your trips?

Some of our trips to Scotland are aimed at more active and adventurous travellers who like the outdoors and wish to explore stunning Scottish landscape during hill walking.

For that reason, some of our trips also include various hikes around Scottish Highlands. In each trip description we specify the name of the walks and their level (easy, intermediate, difficult, etc.). Most of them are considered to be easy to intermediate level as they are aimed at giving you the chance to better experience Scotland's spectacular landscape rather than putting your health in danger (no worries, no scary scrambling or navigation skills required ). Average physical fitness is needed, though.

Brief outline of the walks we usually include in our trips is given below:

Isle of Skye walks:

  • The Old Man of Storr

- distance: 4.5 km / 2.75 miles
- time - approx. 2h
- difficultty grade: easy to intermediate

  • The Quiraing

- distance: 7 km / 4.5 miles
- time - approx. 4-5h
- difficulty grade: intermediate

  • Neist Point

- distance: 3 km / 2 miles
- time - approx. 1.5-2h
- difficulty grade: easy

What kind of accommodation do you provide?

Our trips are aimed at offering you the most genuine Scottish experience therefore we carefully choose the accommodation that you'll be staying at.

Usually we try to find larger properties that can fit the whole team such as comfortable cottages which are typical for the Scottish Highlands area. We also stay at other types of local properties such as B&Bs, guest houses or hotels depending on the location, availability and the trip budget.

The most important thing is that no matter what sort of property you will be staying at during your trip, we always make sure that they are all of good quality and at least 3-star standard.

What should I pack for my Scottish trip?

Come prepared for changeable weather ;)

You may be lucky enough to have a gorgeous weather on your trip to Scotland but there is a high probability that most of the days will be rainy, misty and windy. Weather is the inevitable and essential part of Scotland’s mysterious charm.

As our Scottish trips will involve some hiking and outdoor walking, make sure you bring some comfortable shoes (preferably 2 pairs, including trekking shoes) and suitable clothing (waterproof/water-resistant raincoats are highly recommended!)

What sort of accommodation do you provide?

In Poland we try to pick comfortable, well-situated properties that would give you an easy access to the main attractions. Usually our properties would be self-catering apartments but we could include breakfast as well.

No matter what sort of property you will be staying at during your trip, we always make sure they are all of good quality and at least 3-star standard.

What kind of local tours are included?

The main concept of our trips is to fullfill them with an active way of relaxation. What this means is that if there's a choice between the car and going on foot, we'd choose to walk to be able to see as much local lifestyle and sights as possible.

The advantage of Krakow & Zakopane is that they are best explored on foot so we've decided to take you on guided walking tours around the Old Town, Wawel Castle and Jewish district. We will also hike some easy trails in the Tatra Mountain range to let you experience the beauty of the Polish mountains.

What should I pack for my trip to Poland?

The weather in Poland follows the seasonal scheme - it tends to be dry and hot in the summer while winters may be harsh, snowy and cold so it's important to adjust your clothing accordinly to your trip dates.

The main packing tip that we would suggest is to pack rather light – our trips are 4-5 days long so you won’t need that much stuff with you. For Krakow & Zakopane trip which will involve some hiking in the Tatra Mountains, we recommend that you bring some comfortable trekking shoes and clothing suitable for hiking.
